The GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL are a team of professional artists from the American gospel scene led by Musical Director Reverend Dwight Robson. With historic Negro Spirituals and Gospel music performances they have presented authentic African-American Church music on stages, at festivals and in the Churches of Europe for over 20 Years. Among the highlights of the GOLDEN VOICES OF GOSPEL is their performance on stage with “The King of Pop” Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Howard Carpendale, Eloy de Joung, Bonnie Tyler, Ben Zucker, Florian Silbereisen, Mireille Mathieu, Peter Kraus, André Rieu, Andreas Gabalier, Ross Anthony, Nana Mouskouri, David Hasselhoff and Superstar Helene Fischer.
Reverend Dwight Robson, Musical Director
Dwight Robson was born in St. Louis, Missouri. At age 10, he joined the youth choir of the House of Prayer for All Nations, a small "store-front" church in the inner-city ghetto neighborhood. Later his family moved to a larger more affluent church, called "Temple Church of Christ". There he joined the young adult choir led by noted gospel musician Austin Layne Jr. Musical Director Austin Layne happened to be a personal friend of Edwin "Oh Happy Day" Hawkins who along with many other now well-known gospel artists often visited Dwight's home church and performed many of their latest gospel songs live. All of these wonderful early experience provided Dwight with a deep spiritual inspiration to also become a Professional Gospel Artist.
As a devoted student of the Bible Dwight attended Western Bible College in Stockton, California, where he studied piano and also became a lead singer with the college Choir. He earned a Master of Divinity Degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. While there he also received vocal lessons for Church Worship. Later Dwight transitioned to Chicago where he continued his pursuit of biblical knowledge as a Doctor of Theology student at Chicago Theological Seminary.
